What does a Program Look Like?
Institutional Settings (Long-Term Care, Hospitals, Rehabilitation Centres)
A program is a series of regular visits on a weekly or bi-weekly (every second week) basis to an identified number of individuals over the course of one year.
Features include:
- Two therapeutic clowns who reach approximately 15 -30 clients/residents/patients per half-day or full day visit
- one staff information session prior to start of program
- one family information session to explain service, goals, and impact
- staff access to daily progress notes as well as regular information exchange and updates on client/clown interactions
- evaluation of program effectiveness after 6 months

A program is a series of regular visits customized to suit the needs of the organization and the clients they serve.
